Bishops is your neighborhood spot for walk-in cuts, bold color, and a vibe that’s all style, no ego. Whether it’s a post-class trim, a big change, or your kid’s first haircut—we’re here to make it easy and make it yours.
The hair cut is fine. I was hoping for more opportunity to talk about my hair type, the idea/vision I had for the cut but the person who cut it spent the majority of the time talking about themself. I didn’t feel like this person knew how to cut or actually handle my hair (kinky and 4c) but gave it a shot! Would recommend to folks who don’t have my hair type, to them!
Went to bishops for the first time recently. And met a girl named Monique. She had a really clean area and setup and made the entire experience amazing! After going through my divorce, she made me feel like a new man again through my hair!!! 10/10 would recommend her.
Haircut was affordable. Monique cut my hair and she was really nice. BUT my haircut came out uneven, lots of long vs short hair strands, had to get it corrected somewhere else. My sideburns got cut uneven and choppy. I felt like I had to coach her through a lot of the cut. I had a pixie cut and needed it tightened up and cut shorter so it didn’t need a lot to do. I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately I will not be back. Maybe give it a try and try another stylist. Maybe I had some bad luck that day
Diana was wonderful. Very friendly and professional. I hadn't had my hair cut in a while. She listened to me and adjusted the cut several times to try and read my mind. I was very pleased with the result. I'll be back.
I wanted to give a shout out to Bex for a great experience at Bishops! I always get a bit nervous when I go somewhere for the first time to get my hair cut, but Bex was super chill and cut my hair exactly as I wanted. Thank you!!
Raven did my hair and beard. She was attentive, friendly and in the end, my hair and face look amazing! It's been awhile since I had such a great experience with a hair cut. She is truly a master of her craft. Thank you raven!
I booked a last minute haircut at Bishops after realizing it has been almost a year since my last haircut. I don’t do much with my hair but the ends were feeling crispy.
My experience at Bishops was straightforward and no fuss. I was in and out in a reasonable time. I appreciated that Bex was able to cut my hair dry and avoid the hair wash since I washed earlier in the day. I left feeling like my hair was much healthier.
I’m a younger girl and went to Susie a few weeks ago for a haircut, and I’m so glad I did! I asked for a trendy blowout, layered look, and she nailed it perfectly. She really listened to what I wanted and made sure the style fit me, while still keeping it fresh and modern. The layers flow so nicely, and the blowout gave me that effortless, put-together vibe I was going for. Since then, I’ve gotten so many compliments, and it’s super easy to style at home. If you’re looking for someone who knows how to do the trendy styles and still makes your hair look natural and flattering, Susie is definitely the one to go to.
Susi was amazing and fixed my hair up!! I scheduled online for the first available and I'm thankful she serviced my frizzy mop. She took the time to explain different products and provided recommendations for the future. The atmosphere of the shop was extremely warm and friendly. A free drink and an amazing playlist really helped relax me and had me leaving feeling like my best self.
I will definitely be back and also spreading the word! Thank you for such a wonderful and relaxing experience!
They accommodated me last minute and did an amazing job! Destiny was professional and talented in the short time I was there. She pulled out a miracle in 30 minutes! The location is homey but clean, I’ll be back!
Made my first visit to Bishops. Got a great haircut from Susi. She was very nice and a pleasure to visit with. The shot has a very chill vibe. You should probably check it out for yourself. I'm sure they would be happy to help you out! 👍
Received my first cut at Bishops Today! Had the pleasure of having their new stylist Nathan work on my hair. He gave me a new style and I am LOVING IT! Everything about the experience was 5 star from start to finish! Looking forward to going back for color!
The most welcoming atmosphere, it doesnt feel like a normal business but a community. Everyone is very kind, patient, and outgoing. My personal stylist is Dane, he specializes in color and is fantastic not only in color, cuts, and perms but great with talking and tea 😉 I 100% recommend this place over the other sister salons, absolutely no hate they're all superior to normal salons, but this Bishops has never let me down or feel like just a customer. Please make sure to tip your stylist! You pay the salon for the service, and tip your stylist for their art.
Dane is one of my favorite stylists of all time! He heard out all of my concerns with my hair and helped me find something that I LOVED! Well worth the travel for me, but always happy to come find him for all of my hair needs.
Destiny is an absolute gem! From the moment I sat in her chair, I felt completely at ease. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted, offered expert advice, and delivered beyond my expectations. My hair has never looked or felt better. Destiny’s attention to detail, creativity, and professionalism shine through. You can tell she’s passionate about her craft—and it shows in the results. I walked out feeling confident, refreshed, and already excited for my next appointment. Highly recommend!
This salon is such a great and fun experience. I’ve only been here twice, but it’s always so comfortable and light and fun. Destiny, however, I have been getting my hair done by her since beauty school and she literally always knocks it out of the park. Every single time I have a vision in my mind she’s somehow able to translate it to my hair absolutely perfectly. I’m so thankful for the bishops team for making my salon experience amazing every single time and I cannot wait to come back again. Thank you so much, Destiny! You rock!
Best Haircut of my life!!! Bex cut my hair and they were amazing! Excellent customer service and saw my vision and did perfectly. Clean and friendly service with amazing attention to detail. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for haircuts/color/ styling in the area.
I've been going here for years now, and refer everyone I know to Ryan, the star of this place. I trust Ryan with my hair, so much that despite everything I think I know I just settle down and enjoy Ryan's excellent skills and up to date knowledge of colors, toners and modern techniques. Ryan always answers my questions, is always patient with me so that he knows exactly what I want and he has the skills to execute. I always leave feeling years younger and twice as beautiful as when I entered. Bishops is cool enough even for my teenager who also comes here.
Jen D has done a very great job with my hair. It was my first time coloring my hair, she understood my intimidation towards hair damage and reassured very patiently and politely promising me a good hair color with healthy hair. She also gave me a very good layered haircut as per the inspo pictures I showed. She literally gave me a new face with the hair color. I have a naturally black hair, so I had to slightly bleach my hair for the color to show up. Overall it’s a great experience for a beginner like me with hair color.
Going to this place for almost 5 years, loyal client of Jennifer. Always happy with my look after visiting, always on time, great service, great prices. Guys simply are the best. Highly recommend.
This place is fine if you want a basic cut, but for anything more complicated I would highly recommend going somewhere else.
I went in to get my color redone, along with a cut and keratin treatment. They ended up charging me well over $100 above what I had been quoted. Now I understand that during an extended hair treatment some things can come up that can alter the price of the procedure, but $100 is frankly ridiculous. The company seems to know what they're doing too, as they had me sign a waiver essentially relinquishing them of any responsibility for overcharging me. Funnily enough they didn't even bother to fill in the part on the form where they're supposed to list the procedures being done or their costs. Just left that part blank.
So after sitting in a chair for well over 4 hours I was left with a color and style that were not at all like what I'd requested. And they didn't even bother to style it or finish drying it before asking me to pay them nearly $400. And to top it all off, when I got home I found a large bleach stain on the back of my sweater.
Let me say first that my haircut itself is perfect, literally never been more precisely what I wanted than what Angel shaped on my melon. Thank you for getting right what so many other stylists have fubbed. Separating the less than desirable conversation from this stylist from the remainder of the shop, I have to admit the shop feels dated, with faded cutouts of old celebrity magazine photos plastered over the entirety of the establishment it felt disorderly and messy. While the theme of this great celebrity hair illusion was consistent every stylist had their own personal station that held space for their personalities, which I think was great. I also think this personality is crucial to experience a comfortable hair salon, it just misses the mark to me because it felt like a barely held together theme of celebrity glam while promising personal attention to the details. If you're comfortable shelling out to a good person for a good cut, go to Bishops you won't regret it. But if you desire something more sterile and cookie cutter you might think Bishops is not for you, but you'd be wrong. I highly suggest you take a minute with a good stylist at Bishops in their half put together studio because it will help you appreciate that not everything about community is perfectly quaffed, you might have an honest interaction with a decent person, and on top of that you'll leave with a damn good cut too.
I used to go to expensive salons until I found Bishops. Even when I get a random stylist, I'm happy with the results. I keep a simple short style and can reliably ask for a "clippers set to 2 around my ears, faded longer to a few inches on top ✂️." This works every time. Bishops also has a great crew and a friendly vibe. Good prices. Recommended 👍
This was my first time at a Bishops and honestly it was fantastic! (Though I may be biased since this will soon be my last name. 😂) Madison was so friendly and welcoming and fun to talk to. I felt comfortable expressing what I wanted and working with them to find what works best with my hair. I will definitely be coming back.
Kat K. did a really great job cutting my hair and then was able to get me in to color it the next day! I’ve never ever colored my hair at all, it is long and dark brown, and she did an amazing job highlighting it! I am super happy with the result! Thank you!
In theory they do walk-ins but they've always been too busy for that when I checked. Very kind people who were understanding of some health issues I had that made it hard for me to shower. Got a nice wash, cut, and came back a while later for another wash! Affordable and you can make same-day appointments online if you aren't picky about which stylist you see.
Stylist:Kat I'm editing this because it is now days later and I'm still in love with my hair! I was rocking the same haircut for over a decade and switched it up BIG TIME this time and I don't think I've ever been so happy with a cut after leaving the salon before. Honestly, a millions stars for Kat!! Original review: Kat K is the literal best! Cut and color today and not only are the results a.m.a.z.i.n.g but the vibes were so fun and chill! Usually my haircuts leave me avoiding another one for years but I just saw Kat back in January for my first cut in 3 years and came back for a big change and she nailed it! Forever sticking with her for all my hair needs!
I’ve never had a regular barber until booking Ryan at Bishops in Orenco two years ago. I’ve been coming back twice a month ever since and have been super happy with my cut every time. I’d never left a haircut feeling as fresh as I do here. Ryan does exactly what I want and offers suggestions when I’m not sure. I had to give him a shoutout.. thanks for many great cuts and the confidence that comes with them Ryan!!
I got a haircut from Jennifer and it was exactly what I wanted! She looked at the reference photos and sculpted a hairstyle straight out of them. Very kind person, too! Great to talk to. Definitely recommend!!
Sidney did an amazing job! I don’t think anyone has taken their time like she has, And with attention to detail. Everything is even and just way I imagined. Thank you!
I went for a haircut with Jennifer B. I wanted to trim my hair and define the layers and textures. She clearly understood my requirements and gave me a great refreshed look! We also had lovely conversations along the way! She is fun and does a great job!
Always a fun atmospheric, great service , Jennifer is the best, she always knows when its time to make an adjustment, and my hair (which is difficult) comes out perfect each time.
Jen gave me exactly the cut I was looking for and helped me get back to feeling happy about my hair again! Definitely will be going back when I'm due for my next cut! 😊
Just had a color appointment with Ivey K! She listened to what I was wanting, asked about the type of maintenance I was looking for after the coloring, she was honest and up front with pricing and trying to stay with in budget, she was soo kind and is a hair color master! I could not believe how my hair turned out... it was perfect! She is efficient and delivered on the results. She explained what we can do in the future and what to expect with my coloring as it grows out and is washed many times. She also made sure the maintenance to up keep was low for me since I'll be focusing on a new baby soon. I really really reccomend Ivey as a hair stylist! Thank you soo much!!! 💓
Loved my haircut! Angel made me feel comfortable right away ,even though my English isn’t perfect, she was patient, kind, and easy to talk to. She’s clearly a professional, and the whole experience felt great. Definitely coming back!
I love Bishops, this is such a cool location. Good vibes, music, service. Hair washing sink is surprisingly comfortable. Extra seating available for while you wait. The stations can get overstimulating for me with a full house but it just feels like a good group hangout. I’ve been getting fantastic alternative cuts from Xavier! Hes amazing with a razor and shears, I’ve looked amazing the last few months! I can’t recommend Bishops or Xavier’s chair enough!!!
They are friendly there but they don’t give the best haircuts. I am super disappointed in the haircut I got after washing it when i got him & realizing how choppy and uneven it was. I can’t believe I paid for a haircut to look like this lol When she had styled it it looked okay, it was a little shorter than I hoped but it was fine and when I got home I noticed how it really looked & people have even commented on how uneven and choppy it looks. Save your money and go elsewhere. Very disappointed, considering how much money they charge for a haircut, you should be able to get a decent looking haircut and this place did the opposite. I don’t recommend going here. 2 stars because they were kind but they need to focus on their hair cutting skills a lot more. Worst haircut I’ve ever gotten probably.
Bishops in Orenco Station is the only place I cut my hair. Everyone there is very friendly and professional. I always book with Ryan because ever since the first time he cut my hair, I've been in love with the magic he works! I've gone short with my hairstyle. I have a round face and I like wispy and textured short hairstyles, and every time, Ryan makes it look fantastic. My sister and I have been loyal clients for over five years, and we don’t mind the hour drive—it’s totally worth it. Last time I couldn't get an appointment because he was fully booked for the day, but while he was dyeing my sister's hair, he made time to cut mine while her color was setting. I wasn't expecting that and it was very kind and great (I was totally having a hair emergency). Ryan really listens, gives great advice, and ensures you walk out feeling and looking amazing every single time. He is very thorough. He also gives helpful tips on how to care for and style your hair at home and keep it looking great. After seeing the beautiful coloring he did on my sister's hair, I am tempted to dye mine too! This level of service reflects on the other hairstylists here too, who are equally amazing. Truly, the whole team is incredible. Can’t recommend them enough!
Welcoming Everyone

Our shop feels more like your favorite local record store than a salon. We keep things creative, casual, and community-driven. Whether you’re a local regular or just moved to the neighborhood, you’ll find stylists here who listen, laugh, and make you feel like yourself—only fresher.
We’re proud to serve students, families, professionals, and everyone in between. Come as you are, and leave feeling even more like you.
Do I need an appointment? Nope. We’re walk-in friendly at all locations, though some services (especially color) are easier to book in advance. Use the “Book Now” button to lock in your time if you’re on a schedule.
What kind of salon is Bishops? We’re a hybrid between a barbershop and a salon—but with way better playlists. Think expert cuts, creative color, and an unpretentious, inclusive vibe. All ages. All hair types. All welcome.
Do you cut curly/textured hair? Yes, absolutely. Many of our stylists are trained in curl-specific cutting and styling techniques. If you have a particular request, we recommend giving us a call, booking in advance, and leaving a note so we can match you with the right stylist that will get your cut just right.
Are your stylists licensed? Yep. Every Bishops stylist is fully licensed by their state and regularly trained on current techniques, trends, and client care.
Do you sell hair products? Yes—and we only stock what we actually use. Ask your stylist for recs based on your hair goals. No pressure, just solid advice.
What services do you offer? We offer:
Haircuts (short, long, fades, buzz, shags, trims, and more)
Hair color (natural, fashion/vivid, bleach & tone, balayage)
À la carte options like beard trims, blowouts, shampoo & style
Kid cuts and first-time haircuts
Facial hair grooming and neck cleanups
Can I bring a picture of the look I want? Definitely. Bring screenshots, inspo pics, or your Pinterest board. We’ll talk it through and help you get as close as possible based on your hair type and condition.
Do you do perms or relaxers? Some locations and stylists do. Reach out to your local Bishops directly, or call ahead to check.
How long do services take? Cuts usually take 30–45 minutes. Color services vary depending on complexity. For full bleach-outs or vivid transformations, plan for 2–3 hours or more. We’ll give you an estimate during your consultation.
Do you cut kids’ hair? Absolutely. We love helping kids feel confident about their style. Our stylists are trained to work with all ages and make first-time cuts feel fun and low-stress.
How much is a haircut? Pricing varies by shop and service. For the most accurate details, visit your local Bishops location page.
How much does color cost? Every head of hair is different, and the cost depends on the look you’re going for—whether it’s a root touch-up, gloss, full bleach-and-tone, or balayage. That’s why we recommend starting with a FREE consultation. Our stylists will sit down with you, talk through your goals, review your hair’s history and condition, and create a custom plan just for you.
Do you charge by gender? Never. Our pricing is based on time, technique, and length—not identity. Hair is hair.
Are consultations free? Yes. Always. Book online or stop in for a quick chat.
What if I don’t know what color I want? Perfect. That’s what we’re here for. Book a free color consultation or come in with a few reference points, and your stylist will help guide the decision based on your goals, lifestyle, and hair health.
Can I go from black to blonde in one session? It depends on your hair type and history—but probably not. We’ll prioritize hair health over speed. Multiple sessions may be needed for major changes.
Do you work with vivid/fantasy colors? Absolutely. Pinks, purples, neons, iridescents—we do it all. And we know how to make it last.
Do you offer color correction / color overhaul? Yes! Come in for a FREE consultation so our color experts can assess whether it’s a correction, a refresh, or a full transformation. We’ll review the history and condition of your hair, talk through the change you’re looking for, and create a plan to get you there. From there, we’ll provide a custom recommendation and estimate to help you achieve your hair goals.
Is Bishops gender-inclusive? Always. We were one of the first salon brands to lead the charge in non-gendered pricing and inclusive service training. You belong here.
Do you offer wheelchair-accessible stations? Most of our shops do. We recommend calling your nearest location to confirm ahead of time so we can reserve the best spot for you.
What’s your cancellation policy? Each shop manages its own scheduling. As a general rule, we appreciate 24-hour notice when possible. No-shows may be charged a fee.
Do you offer refunds on products?
Unopened products can usually be returned or exchanged within 30 days. Reach out to your local shop for their exact policy.
What if I’m unhappy with my service? We want you to love your hair. While we do not offer refunds, we do provide a 7-day window for any fixes or color adjustments to make sure you get the look you want. If something isn’t right, reach out to the shop manager within 7 days and we’ll get you rescheduled.
