Tickles and Pokes Event at Clintonville

Bishops Clintonville will be holding an in-shop event Sunday, January 5th (10am  – 12pm) bringing awareness to #EndThePinkTax and #AxThePinkTax. Bishops will be welcoming Za and Julia from Tickles and Pokes, a local Central Ohio educational and entertainment group dedicated to ending systemic stigma and poverty attached to menstruation. One of their overriding goals is collecting pads, tampons and other menstruation products for those in need.  In the US, the average womans pends $1351 yearly on feminine hygiene products. For many women, these basic requirements for living pose huge obstacles especially for those who are economically disadvantaged.  Bishops will  also be offering $10 coupons toward services with donations of female hygienic products leading up to and during the event. Revolution Rosies will also be on hand doing a live broadcast of their podcast from the shop, celebrating women who have made significant contributions in culture and history.
