Shave Off Before No Shave November Makes the News
Woohoo! Congratulations to the Bishops Denver team for making the local news. Our nation-wide shave off event before the start of No-Shave November or Movember caught the attention of CBS Never. As showcased in the video below, people were able to come in to any Bishops on October 27th for the “Shave Down Day.” It’s a nice way to have a fresh start and to get cleaned up before growing facial hair for November.
What is No-Shave November? A month-long journey in which participants do not shave and forgo other hair grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise awareness about men’s health. The rules of No-Shave November or Movember are simple: put down your razor for 30 days! Participate by growing a beard, cultivating a mustache, letting those legs go natural, and skipping that waxing appointment. If you want to go the extra mile, some people donate their monthly hair-maintenance expenses to an organization that is dedicated to men’s health and spreading awareness about cancer prevention and treatment. If you’re not ready to get hairy, sit back and support someone who is by donating to a fundraising page. We invite those who are participating in the month long festivities to come in and get cleaned up at the end. Or hey, keep it going till the new year! But you may still want a beard trim.
