50th Annual Cincinnati Pride Parade with BISHOPS Oakley & Clifton Heights
BISHOPS Oakley and BISHOPS Clifton Heights participated in the 50th Annual Cincinnati Pride Parade on Saturday, June 24th, 2023. Every year, BISHOPS partners with other local organizations to enter the parade as one float. This year the BISHOPS locations partnered with Transform Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Rollergirls. This allows all participating partners to have a massive parade presence while at the same time offering their continued support to these organizations. The BISHOPS team of stylists and barbers had a BLAST walking in the parade alongside the BISHOPS branded truck, educating community members on all the things we can do and provide in the best salons in Cincinnati!
Transform Cincinnati (https://www.transformcincy.org/) works with transgender and gender non-conforming youth to provide free wardrobes head to toe. BISHOPS Oakley and BISHOPS Clifton Heights have been a partner to this organization since its inception in 2019, providing free haircuts, including long cuts, short cuts, buzz cuts, and skin fades, to their clients once they get their new wardrobe.
BISHOPS in Cincinnati has also been a sponsor, and are the official hair salon of the Cincinnati Rollergirls since 2020. The Cincinnati Rollergirls is Cincinnati’s first amateur flat track roller derby team. Founded in late 2005, the team is owned and operated by its skaters, who represent a wide range of ages, backgrounds and occupations, which aligns perfectly with the vision of BISHOPS, where all are accepted and welcomed, and that we can build community while celebrating our differences.
