YouthCare Partnership with Bishops Capitol Hill
Bishops Capitol Hill recently partnered up with YouthCare. The organization was founded in 1974 as one of the first shelters to serve runaway and homeless youth on the west coast with the goal of helping young people find immediate safety and help pave a way out of homelessness. Youth Care expanded to 14 sites in 2019 and serves 1500 young people every year. The shop closed down for a few hours to provide a welcoming environment, food and of course haircuts and styling to 25+ disadvantaged youth. Bishops Capitol Hill plans on closing down every other month for periodic events to help out the youth from the organization who are needing a sense of normalcy and positive temporary escape from their situations.
