Twilight Parade Walnut Creek
Bishops Walnut Creek recently participated in the annual Walnut Creek Twilight Parade. The theme of the 83rd edition of the parade was “83 years – Rocking and Rolling in our Community”. The team from the shop paraded with a truck courtesy of Lehmers Buick GMC blaring a raucous old school rock playlist. With thousands of people enclosing around Main Street, the parade staff and the onlookers were ready to rock. Entering the route, the team was greeted with an eccentric energy radiating from the crowd. People were rocking out to the tunes that were coming from the truck. Kids were running up to team members looking for the free goodies. Bishops team members were sharing smiles with the crowd as well, handing out ‘Bishops’ koozies to the surrounding crowd. The koozies read, “Bishops: Free Beer, Great cuts” and were lined with a coupon from the shop. The kids were not too sure what do with the oval foam object; however, the parents were smiling, because they finally received something that had use to them. The parade had an intoxicating and positive energy with everyone having a blast. Before everyone knew it, the parade route was over in a blink of eye. The team was happy with how the parade went and they were excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the community.
