The Fung Brothers Visit Bishops Pasadena
TV Show hosts the Fung Brothers recently visited Bishops Pasadena as a backdrop for their YouTube show “Fung Bros“. The episode dealt with a dating makeover for “shy Asian guy” aspiring actor Peter whose dating life has stagnated recently. The Fung brothers decided on a key twist early in the episode – they had random passing strangers vote on what sort of makeover points Peter would receive at Bishops (cut, style etc.). With a nearly unanimous vote – Pompadour won in the haircut category beating other nominees as crop fade and buzz cut. After a short consultation with stylist Andy Dawood, Peter left the shop with a game changing pomp cut, a 1st time eyebrow trimming finished off with Suavecito pomade. The whole video is definitely worth watching from start to end with the Bishops portion automatically starting at the 5:27 mark below.
The Fung Brothers are a Chinese-American brother comedian and rap duo who are best known for their YouTube show Fung Bros with almost 2 million subscribers and the A&E network show Broke Bites: What the Fung. The Fungs grew up in Kent, Washington as second generation immigrant kids and are well known for their irreverent takes on the modern Asian-American experience delving into topics ranging from NBA player Jeremy Lin to the vast diaspora of Asian food at large.
