Rebecca Alexander New York Times shoot at Besaws
Besaw’s in Portland recently welcomed Rebecca Alexander to their restaurant for a photo spread for the New York Times Rebecca was featured in a lead story related to challenges that plus sized people continue to face while dining and drinking out. She is the founder of Can We All Go, an App dedicated to seeking out restaurants and bars nationwide that are easily accessible for the plus size community. Rebecca was inspired to develop the app which rates public places on ease and comfortablity for the plus-size after facing similar issues and struggles herself.
With challenges ranging from aisle width to chair size, navigating restaurants and bars for 100 million Americans who are considered plus-sized can be an anxiety inducing minefield. Fortunately, awareness, sensitvity and activism within the Plus-Sized community and their family and friends . Bishops was pleased to be a part of the shoot providing hair service and make up to Rebecca.
