Human Rights Campaign: Confessions on the Runway
The Human Rights campaign of Greater Cincinnati put on their 2nd annual “Confessions on the Runway” event on April 13th. Held at brewery Urban Artifact and modeled by local leaders and allies from greater Cincinnati, the fashion show featured local and national styles from The Native One, BoChic Bridal Boutique, Bonobos, BLōFISH Clothing Co., Hellman Clothiers, Macy’s and Daap Official. Staff from Bishops Oakley and Bishops Clifton Heights were on hand to lend their skills providing all hair styling for the sold out event.
The Cincinnati chapter of the HRC follows its parent organization, The Human Rights Campaign, representing a grassroots force of over 1.5 million members and supporters nationwide and is the largest LGBTQ civil rights organization in the United States. HRC effectively lobbies Congress, mobilizes grassroots action in diverse communities, invests strategically to elect fair-minded candidates and increases public understanding through innovative education and communication strategies. HRC is a bipartisan organization that works to advance equality based on sexual orientation and gender identity, to ensure that gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer Americans can be open, honest and safe at home, at work, and in the community.
