Here to Stay at University Place

Located in University Place, WA, The Village at Chambers Bay is a hamlet of apartments, community offices, restaurants and retail. Open since 2015, the mixed use development is anchored by a Whole Foods and the city’s library. Plans are underway for the University Place city hall to eventually move there as well, with the hub as a whole as close to a “main street” that the growing Tacoma suburb has. The pandemic obviously had a direct hit on most of the businesses located there. As a combination hair salon/barbershop or “hair shop”, Bishops University Place was one of the last businesses able to reopen. Pierce County entered into Phase 2 on June 5th with the shop reopening the next day.  The TVCAB website also has a page focused on Covid sanitation practices taken by each business here including Bishops UP.
