Free Haircuts Furloughed Federal Workers
As the federal government shutdown enters its fifth week, Chicago area institutions and businesses are offering discounts to workers whose wallets have been affected. In East Ukrainian Village, Bishops Cuts/Color is offering free haircuts to any affected federal government worker as long as they show their government identification card. The Chicago Tribune spoke with Wicker Park co-owner, Ben Dekker about it.
“I know it’s a tough time, and we just want to help anyone that needs it.”
Do you have any friends that are furloughed? Let them know we’re here to help! Bishops Cuts/Colors across the nation are providing complimentary haircuts for all federal employees being affected by the government shutdown. No matter what the zip code, Bishops Cuts/Color strives to be part of the community at large and do the right thing.
