Children’s Hospital Colorado and Santa’s Visit
Bishops Cuts/Color in Colorado attended the Children’s Hospital Colorado annual visit from Santa. 450 free cuts were donated to the children who have been in the hospital this year. To the team and children’s surprise, Santa was accompanied by an extra special elf! Michelle Obama, former first lady teamed up with the man in red to help spread holiday cheer to the kids and staff. She read “The Night Before Christmas” and held a special Q&A. Patients’ questions included: “What’s your favorite thing to eat?” and “How many push-ups can you do?”
Giving back is extremely important to Bishops Cuts/Color. We’re more than just a hair salon or your neighborhood barbershop. We see our space as a community zone and further our reach by being active members in the community at large. Founded in 1908 in Denver, Children’s Hospital Colorado set out to be a leader in providing the best healthcare outcomes for children. They strive to improve the health of children through the provision of high-quality coordinated programs of patient care, education, research and advocacy. In addition to providing the best possible care for kids who need it, they also strive to create an environment to help with morale, because let’s face it, hospitals can be depressing. Sometimes that means riding in toys on motorcycles to distract the kids from procedures and pain and other times it means bringing in fun guests like Michelle Obama, professional athletes, or celebrities. We’re thankful they do what they do and we’re honored to have donated free haircuts.
