Bishops Billings Hosts Artwalk Artist Rachel Larson Long
Bishops Billings hosted Artwalk Futuring Artist featuring artist Rachel Larson Long. Food provided by the newly opened Mediterranean Restaurant ‘SPITZ’ and delicious beer from Downtown Microbrewery ‘Thirsty Street’
ArtWalk Downtown Billings began nearly three decades ago, in 1994, when a group of visionary folks created a recurring event to highlight the ever-growing community of artists and art galleries in downtown Billings. ArtWalk began its 29th Season in February 2023. Events will be held this year on the first Fridays of February, April, June, August, October and December 2023 and are scheduled between 5 and 9 p.m.
All ArtWalk events are free. The events are organized and paid for by Season Members, One-Time Participants and generous Sponsors. Look for the ArtWalk signs as they designate ArtWalk locations. Artists frequently attend. Food and beverages are often served and live music is offered at various locations.
On-street metered parking is free in downtown after 5 p.m. There are four parking garages in downtown. Rates vary. They are seldom filled during ArtWalks.
In addition to the many fine arts and fine crafts offered for sale, ArtWalk often includes opportunities to make art, family activities, gallery talks, dance, live street theatre and interactive events. Hosts include galleries, art studios, businesses, a downtown Billings church, non-profit entities, professional offices and other locations that value the creative spirit that thrives in downtown Billings.
ArtWalk is “weather-resistant.” We don’t cancel our events for rain, thunder or hailstorms in the summer. Nor do we cancel if there are blizzards and below zero temperatures in the winter.
We love hosting artists in our space!
Come visit us and see some cool art, you know you want to!
