Artist Showcase: Tall Green Pine & Emory Gap
In a continuation of our Bishops After Hours monthly concert series, Bishops Cuts/Color Wicker Parker hosted Ludlow, Matt Smith, and Bent Dimes to jam in the gender neutral salon on January 25th at 7 PM. Below is a photo from the intimate local artist showcase. Shout out to the fantastic mural by Sergio Farfán as the backdrop. For more Sergio Farfán’s work, check out his Instagram.
The next Bishops After Hours show featuring music by Tall Green Pine and Emory Gap will be held on Friday, February 22nd at 7PM. Based in Chicago, Tall Green Pine is influenced by everyone from The Allman Brothers Band to the Grateful Dead. Emory Gap is a hard drivin’, Evanston-based bluegrass band determined to keep old-time bluegrass music alive. The Wicker Park staff is excited to host both musical talents. A reminder, instead of a cover or standard ticketing, donations for a local charity will be taken at the door. There will be complimentary snacks, PBR, Hamm’s, and wine for your enjoyment. Bishops Cuts/Color Wicker Park will be raffling off T-shirts, free haircuts, and more. Earn raffle tickets by donating!
The After Hours local artist showcase is just one of the many ways Bishops Cuts/Color reaches out and connects with the community in an effort to make our hair cuttery more than a salon or barbershop, but safe space and hub for social connection. Yes, we provide amazing and affordable haircuts, but we’re also a judgement-free zone that appreciates all forms of art– murals, hair styling, makeup, music, you name it. If you’re a Chicago resident and haven’t visited our Wicker Park location yet, Bishops After Hours is the perfect opportunity.
